You can imagine how excited I was when I walked into Liz’s room at the Hotel San Jose. Lots of natural light and cool decor-I love this place.

Liz looked amazing! I just love her style.

While I spent time with Liz, CJ hung out with Matt at their lovely home, right down the road.

Matt, looking sharp. The white tie is such a cool choice.

We set up their first look in the alley behind their house. Such a perfect setting!

The quote on the left is really special in that this is what Chris, Matt’s brother-in-law, had said about Liz and Matt early in their relationship. He could obviously see how perfect Liz and Matt were for each other. Sadly, he passed away, so this sign, a gift from Matt’s sister Kristina, hangs in their home and serves as a daily reminder of Chris and his insight into what a wonderful relationship Liz and Matt have.

On to Mercury Hall! I love seeing this venue after our couples add their own touches. Liz and Matt did a fabulous job of creating a cool, casual atmosphere for their friends and family. They both have such great style and eye for good design.

I love, love vintage post cards, so I thought this was brilliant.

Liz’s friends obviously share her great sense of style. I just love all of their dresses!

O.K. This might be my favorite wedding detail ever. Liz and Matt created their seating chart using an old bus door from New Mexico. Genius.

They set up two, long, family-style tables for dinner. It had such a great feel.

Liz’s friends and family helped create this delicious homemade dessert table. Yum!!

Liz and Matt moved to Austin this summer from NYC, with plans of a home-grown wedding under the stars. They found their perfect setting right down the road from their new South Austin home in Mercury Hall. They really made it their own with all of their wonderful details and I’m sure their celebration was exactly what they had hoped for.
Matt and Liz are both architects by trade and Liz also happens to be a talented graphic designer. We’re always so flattered when clients who have art and design backgrounds choose us to capture their wedding day. Such a huge compliment! Their talent was evident in every detail of their wedding day and we felt so lucky to be a part of it.
Congrats Matt and Liz! We’ll see you around the neighborhood!
