The Nichols Blog bio picture

Welcome to The Nichols' Blog!!

Hi and thanks for dropping by! We're The Nichols, a husband + wife photography team located in Austin, TX.  I'm Jennifer and that's CJ. And that cute little 4-yr. old is Maggie Mae. This is where we share our most recent work including weddings, engagements, brides, families, and our own crazy adventures!

We enjoy hiking, playing music, camping, hittin' cold swimming holes, taking road trips, and of course, taking pictures all along the way! Thanks for taking the time to get to know us. Feel free to drop us a line or leave us a comment!

CJ captured this beautiful moment.

Ramon is in the military, and the saxphonist, Don, is a family friend who plays in the National Guard Band. He was amazing! He serenaded the newly-married couple with “All You Need is Love” as they made their exit. It was SO very sweet.

Catering- Hoover’s

Get-a-way Car- Antique Limousines of Austin

Photo Booth- Party Booth Pix

Suzann and Ramon definitely know how to throw a party!  After their beautiful ceremony under the old oak trees at Kindred Oaks, their friends and family didn’t waste any time getting on the dance floor and celebrating with the new couple.

You may remember Suzann, Ramon, and their adorable dog Pebbles from their engagement session or from Suzann’s downtown bridal shoot. These two love to laugh and it sounds like they had an amazing Jamaican honeymoon. Congratulations Suzann and Ramon!!

Suzann and Ramon had a photo booth for all of their guests to use. I LOVE photo booths and think it’s the best way to capture fun shots of your guests (or vendors:). This co. will even include the bride and groom’s personalized logo on the pics…how cool is that?!?

August 10, 2008 - 10:05 pm Shannon - I would like to get one of those light walls for my house - too much? :) Lovely images!

August 6, 2008 - 3:40 pm Lisa - I love the cake picture with the boys licking the sides. As always, your pictures are beautiful!

August 6, 2008 - 1:25 pm Jen - Oh my gosh. So awesome!!! Amazing shots, they really captured it all so well!!!

August 6, 2008 - 10:14 am Rose Ann - There are so many beautiful photos that I am having difficulty determining which is my favorite. The shot of Suzann and Ramon in the field with Pebbles is so soft and beautiful, Pebbles kept her composure even if she was covered in grass spurs, she is a true professional! How refreshing it was to have photographers who appreciated the day and had fun, it was very evident in the photos taken.

August 6, 2008 - 9:30 am Stephanie - I just want to start off by thanking you and your husband for doing such a great job at my sister and new brother in law's wedding. It all went by so fast and there were things that you captured in your photographs that we might not have seen or remembered had you not done such a great job. I thought my sister was stunning in person, and there would be no way for her too look any more beautiful, but you far exceeded that in your photos of her. She is very happy with her photos, as well and that makes our whole family happy so thank you over and over again!!!!! I also wanted to Thank You for the picture of the fans!!!!!(there's a story behind the making of those, not a happy one but a pretty funny one that i will remember because of your picture!!!)

August 6, 2008 - 9:14 am aimee - You guys haven't seen a photo both that y'all don't like. :-) It has been fun to see this couple all the way from the engagement photos to the acutal wedding. They will have some gorgeous memories and the kid photos are fantastic!

The wedding went by so fast you almost forget all the little details and are grateful that artists like you guys are were there to capture those beautiful moments for my friend’s wedding. Truly unforgettable! Thank you, can't wait to see the rest!!!

August 5, 2008 - 7:52 pm Jen - I am crazy about those bridesmaids bouquets - wow. And the photo booth trend almost makes me want a do-over on my wedding... almost ;)

August 5, 2008 - 7:20 pm Tanya - I have to agree with Mrs. Rodriguez, there are pretty AWESOME and I can't wait to see the rest either!!!
